Is it normal for my Red Eared Slider to stretch it's neck and resting it down?
My res has been stretching its neck and resting it on the rock it basks on. I've never seen it do that before and the neck is outstrectched a lot. Im really worried because i had one which did that and died....
Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
of course its normal. they just stick it out like that to bask. if you were the turtle you wouldn't want to stick your head in the shell where your head is hiding from the light. and you wouldn't want to hang your meck like that because that would be tiring. and if the turtle is streching it a lot then it just want its head to be warmer...i think...but there is nothing wrong with ur turtle.
